Stunning decorative Majolica ceramic bowl featuring a reclining dwarf or "Mr. Punch" character supporting the base.
The bowl is decorated with a brightly coloured, high-gloss glaze featuring moulded holly leaf designs and berries. Often associated with 19th-century English potter George Jones, though this piece likely produced during the 1960s / 70s.
These items were frequently designed as punch bowls, intended to be a centrepiece for tables, particularly during holiday seasons due to the holly motif.
Excellent condition, some age related crazing to the glaze.
